When taken orally it is well resorbed exerting its effect in gastrointestinal tract and affected organs and tissues. Oxytetracycline effectively manages chronic respiratory disease (CRD), enzootic pneumonia, pasteurellosis, diarrhea of bacterial etiology, etc.

- Aminoglycosidal antibiotic NEO most frequently exerts bactericidal effect, interfering with protein synthesis of some gram-positive, particularly of gram-negative, bacteria (<i>Staphylococcus aureus</i>, <i>Streptococcus haemolyticus</i>, <i>Pasteurella multocida</i>, <i>Corynebacterium</i> spp., <i>Klebsiella</i> spp., <i>Shigella</i> spp. and <i>Salmonella</i> spp.). It is markedly efficient against <i>E. coli</i>, the most frequent cause of diarrhea in young animals. NEO-sulfate is active in the presence of gastrointestinal enzymes, intestinal content and intestinal bacteria. NEOCIKLIN MIKS<b><sup>®</sup></b> inhibits the growth of clostridia and coliform bacteria, thus improving the gain, feed conversion, productivity and immunity of the animals. Resistance to NEO is established slowly. Given that p. o. taken NEO is very hardly resorbed (3-10%) from the gastrointestinal tract, its action is exerted in the intestines. Major part of it is excreted unchanged via faeces.
