<p>The year 2001 marks PLIVA's 80th anniversary as a pharmaceutical company and |
| 5 |
|
|
the company's 65th year of in-house research. We are proud of PLIVA's accomplishments |
| 6 |
|
|
to date and delighted with what has become a pharmaceutical research and manufacturing |
| 7 |
|
|
tradition within the company that includes a Nobel Prize laureate, over 450 |
| 8 |
|
|
patents and the blockbuster antibiotic - Azithromycin. </p> |
| 9 |
|
|
<p>While dedicated to preserving this great tradition for the future, it is also |
| 10 |
|
|
a catalyst that drives us on towards new goals and challenges.</p> |
| 11 |
|
|
<p>This anniversary is an opportunity to look back at our past, to see from where |
| 12 |
|
|
we have come and perhaps to understand the shape of our future as well. PLIVA's |
| 13 |
|
|
strength and success have developed from the creativity, vision, values and |
| 14 |
|
|
professionalism of generations of outstanding people within the company. This |
| 15 |
|
|
serves to motivate the people currently in the company to continue PLIVA's steady |
| 16 |
|
|
growth and sustained development.</p> |

<p>Our 80th anniversary celebrations therefore focus on our customers, our employees |

|
|
as well as the general public throughout the entire region, and emphasize PLIVA |

|
|
as the dynamic, innovative and research-oriented company it has been ever since |
